The 19-years old player does not want to renew his contract with Toulouse and he has reach an agreement with Barcelona for the next season
FCBarcelona have signed Jean-Clair Todibo, a 19-years old French centre-back. He has made his debut this season with Toulouse, where he has played ten matches. He finishes his contract this season and he does not want to renew it, so Todibo is free to negotiate with any team and he has reached an agreement with Barcelona. On July 1st he will arrive as a new Barça player.
But, how does Todibo play?
The centre-back was born in 1999 in the French Guayana. Les Lilas was his first team in France in 2016, then he signed for Toulouse, where he has made his debut in Ligue 1. In 10 of the 12 current matches he has been a fixture. Todibo is 1,90 metres tall and he stands out for his speed, his power heading and his force.
This summer, Toulouse transferes Issa Diop, his best centre-back, and Todibo replaced him. The U20 French player has been one of the best surprises in the Ligue 1. Before of being a member of the back line, he played in the midfield. In this sense, he has a great touch of the ball and his long legs help them to recover balls.
Todibo is one of the young French players with more expected growing. He will give speed, power and heading to Barcelona and he will have Umtiti and Lenglet as mentors.
