Clément Lenglet arrived this summer from Sevilla and after Samuel Umtiti injury he has been fixed in the line-ups with great performances

Clément Lenglet admits that he mentally prepared "to play less, but with the circumstances I am playing and glad to take advantage of it". He arrived for 30 million from Sevilla this last summer and he was expected to be substitute of Samuel Umtiti. However, his serious knee injury has let a position to Lenglet and he is responding greatly.

The French centre-back has spoken with Sique Rodríguez in an interview to Cadena SER in Barcelona. Although he is young, he is 23, he shows a serious and mature personality. In fact, he is the only player in FCBarcelona without any tattoo and when he is asked if he would dye his hair if Barça will win the Champions he shows that he is not extravagant: "I would dye my hair, but in a normal colour".

During the interview, Lenglet has defender his teammate Ousmane Dembélé. About him, he has told that "he is young but with an incredible talent, we need to help them because he still has a great future in Barcelona." Lenglet has recognized that "someone has spoken with him, but there is not any crisis, he is a great person".

Another person that has been criticised, but less, is the coach Ernesto Valverde. Clément Lenglet has said to the SER that "he did a great job last season, currently we lead LaLiga and our Champions League group. It is true that maybe he is serious with the press, but in the trainings he is always enjoying and smiling, he can reach beautiful things".

During the current season, Lenglet has been in the middle of two polemic situations. The last one was after the match against PSV Eindhoven when Rakitic and him were arguing in the middle of the pitch. However, he has said that "we were suffering during the match and we just talked about the last shot" and he has recognised that "it was just a normal arguing when we are suffering, then we spoke again and we cleared it up". The first polemic with Lenglet was in during Barça-Girona when he was sent off because he gave an elbow to Pere Pons. About that play he has said that "if you see the complete play it is just yellow card because it was with no intention, even Pere apologized because he thought that he commited foul".

Finally, he has talked about two current topics. About the Ballon d'Or he things that "the best player is Leo Messi, but if you just focus on this year I think that Luka Modric and other Frenc players deserve the title" and he has added that "with no doubt, Leo is the greatest". Also, he has given his opinion about another centre-back that Barça want to sign, De Ligt: "he is a young talented player with a great touch of the ball".
