The board of directors have established a new date that will be out of Bartomeu's mandate
FCBarcelona board of directors have delayed for two years the inauguration of the new Camp Nou, as Cadena SER Barcelona published. This Monday 10 December there was a meetin in which the club decided to postpone the ending of the contruction of Espai Barça until 2023.
As Barcelona radio explained, the main part of the building will be done during 2022, but it not will be finished until next year. Then, in 2023, the inauguration of Espai Barça and the new Camp Nou, will be out of Josep Maria Bartomeu's mandate.
Although some of the first steps have already been done during last summer, like diversion of light and water canals, the rest could be puf off due to political issues. The political party CUP and the neighbour assiociation have presented two litigious. Finally, if there are not more judicial issues, next summer is starting part of the construction.
